Giovannetti creations continue to surprise for the innovation and sensuality of the design

Giovannetti’s unique pieces have been created following the inspiring forms of nature with products like the Flower Chairs, the Gabbiano (seagull) rocking chair, the Clouds and the new colourful Bubbles.

Founded in the mid sixties, Giovannetti hit immediately the international interest with products that were researched and innovative, which perfectly fit the experimental and avant-guard climate of those years. Giovannetti furniture introduced new shapes that were pleasing to the eye and invited to relax and social entertaining.

The modern lines of the design maintain a unique up-to-date feel and today the first creations are as much in demand as the most recent pieces.

Anfibio, designed by Alessandro Becchi and one of Giovannetti’s best known products, which was created in 1970 finds its place in any modern home today like yesterday.  Anfibio was born as a convertible sofabed and was the company’s drive forward enabling the commercial growth with 31.000 pieces produced. Moreover the assignment of a series of awards raised the company to a higher artistic level with Anfibio being represented in the collections of the major museums of contemporary art in the world.

Giovannetti’s products have continued to receive awards for the innovation of the design throughout the years. The total-relax rocking chair Gabbiano- by Carin Silva Gil - was the winner of the gold medal of the international Young&Design 2003. The sectional program Dune - by Sandro Santantonio and Rocco Bruno -, pointed out for its design at the international Young&Design 2005 won the award in 2005 and the series of chairs Clubby Flowers, pointed out for its design at the international Young&Design 2004, Daisy and Rose always by Sandro Santantonio won in 2004.
